Mustangs sweep Wolves

BOYS: East Lincoln 69, Lincolnton 55

The Mustangs were up 42-29 at half, and led 50-47 going into the fourth quarter where they outscored the Wolves 15-2 over the last 3 minutes to win the South Fork 2A Conference game played Friday night in Lincolnton.

East Lincoln had three players in double figures, led by sophomore Evan Montanari who had a career high 24 points on 5 3-point field goals made, and also had 5 assists and 4 steals. Senior Myles Adams had 13 points and 6 rebounds, and sophomore Jeremiah Jones added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.  Senior Justin Kuthan was held to 8 points on the night, but had 15 rebounds.

The Wolves had three players in double figures, led by senior Davis Grooms 19 points. Fellow senior Dejarrus Gash added 18 points and junior Amontre Finger added 11.

The Mustangs will be at North Lincoln Tuesday night, while the Wolves will host Bandys.
