Knights rebound in big way

Even playing with a backup quarterback, North Lincoln (1-1) exploded for 57 points against East Rutherford just six days after falling in their season opener at Parkwood for a 57-22 non-conference win in Pumpkin Center.

Backup QB Jack Carter tossed 3 touchdown passes and ran for more than 100 yards and another two scores and the Knights, the South Fork 2A Conference favorite, improved to 1-1 on the early season.

North Lincoln put up over 400 yards of offense on the night on the way to their first win of the season.

The Knights will travel to West Caldwell this week, while East Rutherford (0-2) will still be seeking their first win at home against Brevard.
